ULF CONTRACTING CO. W.L.L. (formerly known as GULF HOUSING & CONSTRUCTION CO. W.L.L.) was established in Qatar in 1976 as a Building and Civil Works Contractor, incorporating a separate Division specializing in the manufacture of SPACEMAKER portable pre- fabricated buildings. The Company has grown to be one of the major construction companies in Qatar and has gained a proven reputation for quality workmanship on a wide variety of projects which have been completed on programme and within budget, and has achieved GRADE 1 status for Building Contractors, the highest grade classified by the Government of Qatar. We also hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 Certifications.

In 1996 we formed a Partnership with Interserve Plc of U.K. (formerly Tilbury Douglas). With the added strength and support of a major construction services provider, we can now undertake the most demanding of projects.

We have developed a broad client-base, both in the Public and their Subordinates & Associates, and have carried out Contracts for such national organization as Qatar Petroleum (QP), MEW (Al Kahramaa), RASGAS and many others.

We have also participated as a main subcontractor to International Contractors such as Bechtel, Chiyoda, JGC, LG, and Hyundai on large industrial projects for Qatar Petroleum, Qatar gas, Rasgas and QAFAC. Our recent major projects include

• Many Sub Stations for Kharamaa Phase 6 and Phase 7 through their main contractors SIEMENS, ABB, AREVA, ISOLUX etc.
• Doha International Airport expansion Phase I, II & III.  This expansion also includes External Airfield works. 
•  Airline Engineering facility, Airline Operations Building and Building for Fuel System for the new airport.
• British Embassy in Qatar.
• Tower for Qatar Insurance Co. and a tower under construction in Pearl Qatar.
• Fit out for Exxon Mobil Tower.

We have entered into our First Partnership Agreement with Commercial Bank for renovation, refurbishment of their Head Office and all branches throughout Qatar and also construction of new branches.

The ‘SPACEMAKER’ Division is the market leader in Qatar for the fabrication and supply of all types of portable pre-fabricated quality buildings ranging from individual units to multiple Office facilities / Camp facilities / Villas both single and  double storey.  We also undertake Design & Build TURNKEY projects. We have done the existing 7000 man camp (Built in 1994) in Raslaffan for R.L.I.C and various camp facilities of Raslaffan for Daewoo, BosKhalis, Linde, Qatarvents, Hyundai etc.

We have also established 'AL MANJARA (Joinery)' Division specialized in first-class joinery works for Banks, Hotels, Offices, etc. including complete fast-track fitted furniture for the Movenpick Business Hotel in Doha, Doha Sheraton Hotel, Commercial Bank and many others.
