Barzan Onshore Project – 50M Man Hours Safe

01-October-2013

Gulf Contracting is proud to be part of one of the healthiest, safest sites to work on in Qatar. The Barzan Onshore project recently reached 50 million man hours without a lost-time health and safety incident. GCC has contributed to 5 million of those man hours alone and with 23,000 staff members on site, that’s quite an achievement!

The project, worth £50M, is in the Industrial industry for the onshore development of a gas field. GCC is completing the civils package, comprising 26 buildings including a mosque and an operations control center.

Contracts Manager K.B. Reddy, Project Manager HK Manjunath and Health and Safety Officer Rizwan Khan have all been integral to achieving such a safe site. Congratulations to all those who have worked hard to make sure GCC’s stringent health and safety practices are followed by all contractors.

Our next step: 10 million man hours without incident!
